Research School of Horticultural Sciences

Flowers

The Research School of Horticultural Sciences (RSHS) was established in 2004 to develop and improve the education of those PhD students closely aligned to scientific investigations in modern horticulture.

It is a collaborative venture between the Faculty of Life Sciences at University of Copenhagen and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Aarhus, and has strong industry links within Denmark.

RSHS looks to create and safeguard an appropriate research environment for its young researchers, and to continue to improve the quality of the PhD program within the horticultural sciences. This is achieved by encouraging and supporting activities that facilitate networks between research students and enhance international collaboration, and by providing innovative and relevant PhD courses.

The School is also a source of information about PhD studies more broadly and, together with other Research Schools in Natural Resources, works actively in Personal Development and Planning for young researchers and in quality enhancement of the PhD supervision process.
